2022年1月FOMCの声明文で2021年12月から変更された部分とは？

FOMCが出す声明文が1月分が12月分からどうかわったかを見ていこうぞ！1月の原文(黒字)と変更になった分は12月分を赤字で記載しておる！

Indicators of economic activity and employment have continued to strengthen.(経済活動や雇用を示す指標は引き続き強化されています。)

冒頭から全くことなる文言となっています。因みに12月は以下。最初の部分がまるっきり省略されていますね。

The Federal Reserve is committed to using its full range of tools to support the U.S. economy in this challenging time, thereby promoting its maximum employment and price stability goals.With progress on vaccinations and strong policy support, indicators of economic activity and employment have continued to strengthen.

連邦準備制度理事会は、この困難な時期に米国経済を支えるためにあらゆる手段を用いることを約束し、それにより最大限の雇用と物価安定の目標を促進する。ワクチン接種の進展と強力な政策支援により、経済活動と雇用の指標は引き続き強化されている。

コロナ禍が深刻という認識からインフレが深刻となったことのメッセージとも受け取れるな。

The sectors most adversely affected by the pandemic have improved in recent months but are being affected by the recent sharp rise in COVID-19 cases. (but continue to be affected by COVID-19.) Job gains have been solid in recent months, and the unemployment rate has declined substantially. Supply and demand imbalances related to the pandemic and the reopening of the economy have continued to contribute to elevated levels of inflation. Overall financial conditions remain accommodative, in part reflecting policy measures to support the economy and the flow of credit to U.S. households and businesses.

パンデミックの影響を最も受けている部門はここ数ヶ月で改善しましたが、最近急増したCOVID-19の症例による影響を受けています。(が、引き続きCOVID-19の影響を受けている）ここ数ヶ月、雇用の増加は堅調であり、失業率は大幅に低下している。パンデミックと経済再開に関連する需給の不均衡は、引き続きインフレ水準の上昇に寄与しています。全体的な金融情勢は、景気を下支えする政策や米国の家計や企業への信用の流れを一部反映して、緩和的な状態が続いています。

オミクロン 株ようの文言に変更されておるの。

The path of the economy continues to depend on the course of the virus. Progress on vaccinations and an easing of supply constraints are expected to support continued gains in economic activity and employment as well as a reduction in inflation. Risks to the economic outlook remain, including from new variants of the virus.(この部分は変更なし)

経済の行方は、引き続きウイルスの経過に左右されます。予防接種の進展と供給制約の緩和は、経済活動と雇用の継続的な増加、およびインフレ率の低下を支えると予想されます。ウイルスの新種など、経済見通しに対するリスクは依然として残っている。

The Committee seeks to achieve maximum employment and inflation at the rate of 2 percent over the longer run. In support of these goals, the Committee decided to keep the target range for the federal funds rate at 0 to 1/4 percent.(この部分も変更なし)

With inflation well above 2 percent and a strong labor market,the Committee expects it will soon be appropriate to raise the target range for the federal funds rate.

soonというワードを用いており3月利上げをほのめかしておるの。この部分12月は以下のようになっておった。12月時点では3月の利上げはほのめかしておらんかったから大きく変更がなされた部分といえるじゃろう。

With inflation having exceeded 2 percent for some time,the Committee expects it will be appropriate to maintain this target range until labor market conditions have reached levels consistent with the Committee’s assessments of maximum employment.

インフレ率がしばらく2％を超えていることから、委員会は、労働市場の状況が委員会の最大限の雇用に関する評価と一致する水準に達するまで、この目標範囲を維持することが適切であると予想しています。 

The Committee decided to continue to reduce the monthly pace of its net asset purchases, bringing them to an end in early March. Beginning in February, the Committee will increase its holdings of Treasury securities by at least $20 billion per month and of agency mortgage‑backed securities by at least $10 billion per month.

 In light of inflation developments and the further improvement in the labor market, the Committee decided to reduce the monthly pace of its net asset purchases by $20 billion for Treasury securities and $10 billion for agency mortgage-backed securities. Beginning in January, the Committee will increase its holdings of Treasury securities by at least $40 billion per month and of agency mortgage‑backed securities by at least $20 billion per month.The Committee judges that similar reductions in the pace of net asset purchases will likely be appropriate each month, but it is prepared to adjust the pace of purchases if warranted by changes in the economic outlook..

インフレ動向と労働市場のさらなる改善を踏まえ、委員会は純資産買い入れのペースを毎月、財務省証券で200億ドル、政府機関向け住宅ローン担保証券で100億ドル減らすことを決定した。1月から、委員会は財務省証券を毎月少なくとも400億ドル、政府機関担保証券を毎月少なくとも200億ドル保有することになる。委員会は、純資産買い入れのペースを毎月同様に減らすことが適切であろうと判断しているが、経済見通しの変化によって保証されるなら買い入れペースを調整する用意がある。

The Federal Reserve’s ongoing purchases and holdings of securities will continue to foster smooth market functioning and accommodative financial conditions, thereby supporting the flow of credit to households and businesses.(この部分は変更なし)

連邦準備制度による継続的な証券の購入と保有は、円滑な市場機能と緩和的な金融環境を引き続き促進し、それによって家計と企業への信用の流れを支える。

In assessing the appropriate stance of monetary policy, the Committee will continue to monitor the implications of incoming information for the economic outlook. The Committee would be prepared to adjust the stance of monetary policy as appropriate if risks emerge that could impede the attainment of the Committee’s goals. The Committee’s assessments will take into account a wide range of information, including readings on public health, labor market conditions, inflation pressures and inflation expectations, and financial and international developments.(この部分は変更なし)

金融政策の適切なスタンスを評価する上で、当委員会は、入ってくる情報が経済見通しに対して持つ意味を引き続き注視していく。委員会は、委員会の目標の達成を妨げる可能性のあるリスクが出現した場合、適宜、金融政策のスタンスを調整する用意がある。委員会の評価は、公衆衛生、労働市場の状況、インフレ圧力とインフレ期待、金融および国際情勢に関する読み物を含む幅広い情報を考慮に入れる。
